A method of enabling prioritized call connection between an originating caller and a terminating caller is disclosed. A request from an originating caller to a mobile station for call connection includes a call priority identifier in order to expedite connection of the originating caller to the mobile station. The mobile station utilizes the same call priority identifier provided by the originating caller to prioritize its request for a response to the originating caller's page and the setup of the traffic channel between the originating caller and mobile station.

L'invention a trait à un procédé permettant de rendre prioritaire une connexion d'appel entre un appelant de départ et un appelant terminal. Une demande émanant d'un appelant de départ vers une station mobile, dans le but d'établir une connexion d'appel, comporte un identificateur de la priorité de l'appel et ce, en vue d'accélérer la connexion de l'appelant de départ à la station mobile. Cette station mobile utilise le même identificateur de priorité d'appel que l'appelant de départ pour rendre prioritaire sa demande de réponse au radiomessage de l'appelant de départ et pour établir le canal de trafic entre l'appelant de départ et la station mobile.
