A method for dry or wet-dry processing flue gases containing compounds such as sulphur oxides, wherein the flue gases are treated with a reagent selected from sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate and mixtures thereof, the resulting sodium sulphates are selectively dissolved in water, the solids still in suspension in the solution are separated, and the purified sodium sulphate contained in said solution is crystallised. The method enables reusable sodium sulphate to be produced.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de traitement de fumées comprenant des composés du type des SOx, par voie sèche ou semi-humide, consistant à effectuer les étapes suivantes: on traite lesdites fumes avec un réactif choisi parmi le carbonate de sodium, bicarbonate de sodium et leurs mélanges, on dissout sélectivement les sulfates de sodium produits, dans l'eau, on sépare les solides restants en suspension dans la solution, on cristallise le sulfate de sodium purifié présent dans la solution précitée. Le procédé selon l'invention permet d'obtenir du sulfate de sodium revalorisable.
