Abstract: Method for processing light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material Disclosed is a method for processing a light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material, which comprises including at least the step of color developing, the step of processing with a liquor having fixing ability and the step of processing with a washing solution substitute as the final processing step, after imagewise exposure of a light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, characterized in that at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer contains at least one coupler selected from the magenta couplers and the cyan couplers; washing solution substitute contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of from 2.0 x 10-5 to 2.5 x 10-2 mol per liter of the washing solution substitute of the aldehydes, from 2.0 x 10-5 to 8.0 x 10-2 mol per liter of the washing solution substitute of the aldehyde derivatives and from 2.0 x 10-5 to 8.0 x 10-2 mol per liter of the washing solution substitute of the aldehyde derivatives; and the replenished amount of the washing solution substitute is at least 2 to 50-fold of the amount of processing solution in the processing steps prior to the step of processing with the washing solution substitute, which is carried over into the washing solution substitute by the light-sensitive photographic material processed in the step processed with the liquor having fixing ability.
