A method for processing material comprising combinations of aluminium and plastic, such as aluminium bottle caps having a plastic coating, comprising the steps of: pyrolysing the plastic in an inert atmosphere, cracking or gasyfying the gases or vapours which are released in the course of pyrolysis, afterburning the coke which remains behind on the aluminium in the course or pyrolysis. The gases or vapours released are recirculated and are used, during pyrolysis, as an inert, oxygen-free medium.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement de déchets contenant des combinaisons d'aluminium et de plastique, tels que des bouchons de bouteilles en aluminium possédant un revêtement en plastique. Ledit procédé consiste à effectuer la pyrolyse du plastique dans une atmosphère inerte, à fragmenter les gaz ou vapeurs libérés au cours du processus de pyrolyse, et à procéder à la postcombustion du coke qui reste sur l'aluminium au cours du processus de pyrolyse. Les gaz ou vapeurs libérés sont recyclés et utilisés, au cours de la pyrolyse, en tant que milieu inerte exempt d'oxygène.
