METHOD FOR PROCESSING OXIDIZED NICKEL ORES Abstract of the Disclosure According to the invention, the method for processing oxidized nickel ores comprises heating said ores to 800-950°C during from 0.5 to 1.5 hours in the presence of chlorinating agent and reducer - aluminium, magnesium, carbonaceous material, a mixture of said carbonaceous material and aluminium or magnesium. The carbonaceous material contains sulphureous components or salts of metals of the eighth group of the Periodic System and said reducer is used in an amount from 0.5 to 3% by weight of starting ore. Nickel or nickel and cobalt are extracted into concentrate by enrichment methods from cinder resulting from heating of said ores. Due to the method for processing oxidized nickel ores according to the invention high rate of extraction of nickel (80-90%) and cobalt (75-90%) from said ores into concentrate is achieved. In addition, the method according to the invention enables the processing of poor oxidized nickel ores containing less than 1% of nickel.
