The invention concerns a method for processing postal objects which consists in displaying an image (3) of a postal object on a video-coding station (1), in requesting an operator (4) on the basis of said display to supply a postal address information through the video-coding station. Said method is characterized in that the operator is called upon through speech synthesis such that he reads the address appearing in the image simultaneously with the statement of a solution addressed to him through speech synthesis.
