The invention concerns a method for making a granular road surfacing material, which consists: in using at least two different granular fractions, a coarse granular fraction consisting of large and/or medium aggregates and fine granular fraction consisting of fine aggregates; coating the aggregates of the coarse granular fraction with an organic binder, so as to form an organic coarse phase; mixing the aggregates of the fine granular fraction with a mineral binder and with an amount of input water, so as to form a mineral fine phase; mixing the organic coarse phase and the mineral fine phase to obtain a material ready to be spread or stored. The organic binder is advantageously a soft bitumen emulsion, in which case the coating of the coarse granular fraction is carried out by cold process and the final mixing of the two phases is carried out preferably after break-up of the emulsion.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau routier granulaire enrobé, dans lequel : on utilise au moins deux fractions granulaires distinctes -une fraction granulaire grossière constituée de gros et/ou moyens granulats et une fraction granulaire fine constituée de granulats fins- ; on enrobe les granulats de la fraction granulaire grossière avec un liant organique, de façon à former une phase grossière organique ; on mélange les granulats de la fraction granulaire fine avec un liant minéral et avec une quantité d'eau d'apport, de façon à former une phase fine minérale ; on mélange la phase grossière organique et la phase fine minérale pour obtenir un matériau prêt à l'épandage ou au stockage. Le liant organique est avantageusement une émulsion d'un bitume mou, auquel cas l'enrobage de la fraction granulaire grossière s'effectue à froid et le mélange final des deux phases est exécuté préférentiellement après rupture de l'émulsion.
