Method for the production of a chemically bound ceramic material by means of reaction between a binding phase of one or more powdered binding agents and a liquid reacting with these binding agents, a quantity of powder containing said binding phase being suspended in said liquid so that all powder grains are brought into close contact with the liquid, whereupon the slurry thus obtained is drained so that the majority of surplus reacting liquid is removed, and is compacted during final draining, before the material is permitted to harden by reaction between said binding phase and the remaining liquid. One or more expansion-compensating additives, adapted to give the material dimensionally stable long-term properties, are mixed into said powder, prior to or in conjunction with its suspension in the liquid. The invention also relates to the product of the method.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de production d'un matériau céramique à liaisons chimiques par réaction entre la phase de fixation d'un ou plusieurs agents de fixation pulvérulents et un liquide réagissant avec lesdits agents de fixation. A cet effet, on met en suspension dans ledit liquide ladite phase de fixation de manière à ce que tous les grains de la poudre soient en contact avec le liquide. Le coulis ainsi obtenu est purgé pour éliminer la majeure partie du surplus du liquide de réaction puis compacté à la fin de la purge avant que matériau ne durcisse par réaction entre ladite phase de fixation et le liquide restant. Par ailleurs on mélange à la poudre avant ou pendant sa mise en suspension un ou plusieurs additifs de compensation de l'expansion conférant au matériau une stabilité dimensionnelle à long terme. L'invention a également trait au produit ainsi obtenu.
