The method is for producing a curved shaped metal sheet body for manufacturing a stator or rotor motor frame. It comprises the step of cutting a generally rectangular, elongated strip from a metal sheet, the strip extending in a plane and having a first longitudinal edge having a series of spaced apart, transversally projecting teeth along of its length, and a second longitudinal edge, opposed to the first longitudinal edge. The method also comprises the step of bending one of the longitudinal edges orthogonally to the plane of the strip according to a wavelike pattern to obtain the curved metal sheet body from the rectangular metal strip.
