ABSTRACT The invention pertains to a method for producing a driving or conveyor being composed of a rubber or a rubberlike material having a reinforcing member that consists of one or more plies of textile fabric comprising warp and woof threads of a synthetic material, selected from the group comprising polyester, polyamide and/or aramid or a combination thereof, wherein said threads, particularly the woof threads, have been covered entirely or partially by a coating of rubber or rubberlike material prior to being woven into the textile fabric.
