The invention relates to a method for producing a flat strip in which a supporting fiber fabric comprised of a multitude of parallelly aligned supporting fibers that are interwoven with cross fibers is embedded in a binder matrix made of synthetic material. According to the invention, the supporting fiber fabric (38) is stiffened using a binder matrix made of thermoplastic material and is sealed against liquid penetration. In order to form the binder matrix, the supporting fiber fabric (38) can be pressed together with a film (40', 40'') made of thermoplastic material, heated and cooled again. In an alternative embodiment, the supporting fiber fabric (38) is firstly impregnated with a preferably aqueous thermoplastic suspension (52) and is subsequently heated while vaporizing the water and melting the thermoplastic material and is cooled again while forming the solidified binder matrix.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire une bande plate, selon lequel un tissu constitué d'une pluralité de fibres porteuses parallèles tissées avec des fibres transversales est incorporé dans une matrice de liaison en matière synthétique. Selon l'invention, le tissu de fibres porteuses (38) est rigidifié et rendu imperméable aux liquides au moyen d'une matrice de liaison en matière thermoplastique. Pour former la matrice de liaison on peut presser le tissu de fibres porteuses (38) avec un film (40', 40'') de matériau thermoplastique, puis le chauffer et le refroidir. On peut également imprégner d'abord le tissu de fibres porteuses (38) avec une suspension de matière thermoplastique (52) de préférence aqueuse, et ensuite le chauffer, ce qui entraîne l'évaporation de l'eau et la fusion du matériau thermoplastique, et enfin le refroidir, ce qui entraîne la solidification de la matrice de liaison.
