ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is described for the preparation of non- complement-fixing gamma-globulin suitable for intravenous injection which comprises treating a standard gamma-globulin solution with an agent selected from the group consisting of acetimide acid ethyl ester hydrochloride, diketene, formimide acid ethyl ester hydrochloride and propane-sultone at a pH of 9, allowing the solution to stand for two hours before adjusting the pH to 7 to 7.5, followed by dialysis and sterile filtration.
