The invention relates to a method for producing a nutrition additive for use for the prevention of intestinal diseases, in which method brewery yeast is filtered and the filtered brewery yeast is treated hydrolytically so that the cellular structure breaks open and the effective concentration of oligo- and/or polysaccharides, betaglucane and/or proteins on the surface of the cellular structures is increased. Moreover, the invention relates to a nutrition additive produced by treating filtered brewery yeast by a hydrolytic process so that the cellular structure breaks open. In addition, the invention relates to the use of a nutrition additive in connection with the feeding of animals, the additive being used in an amount of 0.1 - 1.0 w-% of the total amount of raw material. The invention also relates to the use of the nutrition additive in question for humans for balancing intestinal microbes and preventing intestinal diseases.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un additif alimentaire pouvant être utilisé pour prévenir des maladies intestinales. Dans ce procédé, de la levure de bière est filtrée, puis traitée par hydrolyse, provoquant la rupture de la structure cellulaire et l'augmentation de la concentration efficace en oligo- et/ou polysaccharides, en betaglucane et/ou en protéines sur la surface des structures cellulaires. En outre, l'invention concerne un additif alimentaire produit par traitement de levure de bière filtrée par hydrolyse de manière à provoquer la rupture de la structure cellulaire. Cette invention concerne également l'utilisation d'un additif alimentaire pour l'alimentation des animaux; cet additif étant utilisé dans une quantité comprise entre 0,1 et 1,0 % en poids de la quantité totale de matière brute. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de l'additif alimentaire susmentionné chez les êtres humains, afin d'équilibrer les microbes intestinaux et de prévenir des maladies intestinales.
