The invention relates to a security feature and to a production method which offers the possibility of not having to modify the surface of the card body. The substrate contains a colour-change material which, when irradiated with light of a certain wavelength, undergoes a permanent colour change from a starting colour to an end colour. In its starting state, the substrate is irradiated with a controlled ray of light of this wavelength, especially a laser beam, in such a way that the resulting colour change of the colour- change material produces an image which is recognisable with the naked eye.
L'invention concerne une caractéristique de sécurité et un procédé de production qui permet de ne pas devoir modifier la surface du corps carte. Le substrat contient une matière de transition qui, exposée à une lumière d'une longueur d'onde prédéterminée, subit un changement de couleur permanent, passant d'une couleur de départ à une couleur finale. Le substrat à l'état de départ est exposé à un faisceau lumineux contrôlé de cette longueur d'onde, notamment un faisceau laser, de telle façon que le changement de couleur de la matière de transition ainsi provoqué permet d'obtenir sur le substrat une image visible à l'oeil nu.
