The invention relates to a method for producing alkenyl succinic anhydrides of formula (I), in which R represents a C4 to C250 alkylene radical that can be linear or branched. The method involves the reaction of maleic anhydride and of an alkene, which contains 4 250 carbon atoms at 150 to 250 ~C in the presence of a synergistic mixture consisting of a primary antioxidant, a peroxide decomposer and of a metal deactivator.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire des anhydrides d'acide succinique d'alkényle de formule (I), dans laquelle R désigne un reste alkylène C4-C250, qui peut être linéaire ou ramifié, du fait que de l'anhydride d'acide maléique et un alcène, qui contient entre 4 et 250 atomes de carbone, sont mis à réagir à une température comprise entre 150 et 250°C, en présence d'un mélange synergique d'un antioxydant primaire, d'un agent de décomposition de peroxyde et d'un désactivateur de métal.
