A process for the preparation of cyclic lactic acid oligomers, which comprises (i) the first heating step of condensing lactic acid through dehydration by heating under such conditions of pressure and temperature that by-product water can be distilled away while avoiding the distillation-off of lactide, and (ii) the second heating step of lowering the pressure of the resulting reaction system to 100mmHg or below at a temperature higher than that of the first step under such conditions of pressure and temperature that by-product water can be distilled away while avoiding the distillation-off of lactide, and further continuing the reaction under the resulting lowered pressure by heating to form a condensate of lactic acid; and cyclic lactic acid oligomers prepared by the process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'oligomères cycliques d'acide lactique comprenant (i) une première étape de chauffe consistant à condenser de l'acide lactique au moyen d'une déshydratation par chauffage à une pression et à une température permettant l'élimination par distillation de l'eau comme sous-produit tout en évitant la perte par distillation du lactide, et (ii) une seconde étape de chauffe consistant à faire baisser la pression du système de réaction résultant à un niveau inférieur ou égal à 100mmHg à une température plus élevée que celle de la première étape, dans des conditions de pression et de température permettant l'élimination par distillation de l'eau comme sous-produit tout en évitant la perte par distillation du lactide, puis à continuer la réaction par chauffage avec la faible pression résultante, d'où la formation d'un condensat d'acide lactique. L'invention concerne également des oligomères cycliques d'acide lactique préparés selon ce procédé.
