The invention relates to a method for producing cyclopentanone and cyclopentene-1-carboxylic acid or their esters of formula (I) COOR, wherein R represents hydrogen or an aliphatic radical with 1 to 6 C-atoms or a cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radical with 6 to 12 C-atoms. According to said method, compounds of formula (II) X-(CH2)4-COOR, wherein X represents a formyl- or hydroxymethyl radical and R has the meaning given above, and/or compounds which can be converted into compounds of formula (II) with water or alcohols ROH under the reaction conditions are heated in the gaseous or liquid phase to temperatures of 200 to 450 ~C in the presence of heterogeneous oxidic catalysts.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de cyclopentanone et d'acide cyclopentène-1-carboxylique et de leurs esters de formule (I). Dans la formule (I), R représente hydrogène, un reste aliphatique ayant 1 à 6 atomes de carbone ou un reste cycloaliphatique, araliphatique ou aromatique ayant 6 à 12 atomes de carbone. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé en ceci qu'on chauffe dans la phase gazeuse ou liquide, à des températures comprises entre 200 et 450 ·C et en présence de catalyseurs oxydiques hétérogènes, des composés de formule X-(CH¿2?)¿4?-COOR (II) - formule dans laquelle X représente un reste formyle ou hydroxyméthyle et R a la signification indiquée plus haut - ou des composés pouvant, avec de l'eau ou des alcools ROH, se transformer dans les conditions de réaction en composés de formule (II).
