Diene-modified polymers are provided as well as methods for preparing the same. The polymers have from 3-8 carbon atoms, from about .00005 to about 5 mole percent diene based on the total weight of the polymer. The polymers are essentially gel-free and exhibit enhanced melt strength and shear thinning behavior.
