ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: During the production process of dispensable handkerchiefs or sanitary towels of the kind imbued with disinfectant, deodorizing and/or detergent substances and stacked independently from one another, a layer of rigid or semirigid, non-adhesive material is applied to at least one area of each towel, so that the towels can be easily extracted from the container dispensing slot. The layer is applied to at least one towel area, tipically located on a protruding part, which is corresponding to the cited slot area. The thus obtained towels are packed in a container- dispenser whose dispensing slot is airtightly closed by a partially die-cut portion of the slot wall, upon and around which is overlying a pressure sensitive strip to cooperate in closing said slot.
