ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A green colored anodic oxide film on an aluminum or aluminum base alloy article is obtained by subjecting the article to alternating current anodization in an anodic oxida- tion bath containing sulfuric acid and then immersing the resulting article in an aqueous solution containing copper ions and an acid, followed by an aftertreatment.
