A method for producing low carbon steel (13) wherein molten steel is decarburized in a three stage refining procedure comprising a first stage wherein oxygen is provided for decarburization enveloped in a gas shroud (16), a second stage wherein oxygen is provided for decarburization enveloped in a flame shroud (16), and a third stage wherein inert gas or oxygen is provided enveloped in a flame shroud (16).

Un procédé de production d'un acier à faible carbone, l'acier fusionné étant décarburisé en une procédure de raffinage en trois étapes comprenant une première étape dans laquelle l'oxygène est décarburisé dans une enveloppe d'un protecteur de jet sous atmosphère gazeuse, une seconde étape dans laquelle l'oxygène est décarburisé dans une enveloppe de protection contre les flammes et une troisième étape dans laquelle le gaz inerte ou l'oxygène et le gaz inerte sont enveloppés dans une protection contre les flammes.
