A process for producing a negative plate for lead storage batteries which is prevented from suffering interfacial separation between a plate filled with a negative active material and a carbon-mix coating layer formed on the surface of the plate, the interfacial separation being a problem of negative plates having a configuration comprising the plate filled with a negative active material and the carbon-mix coating layer, and which has improved low-temperature rapid discharge characteristics. The process comprises: forming a coating layer of a carbon mix on at least some of the surfaces of a plate filled with a negative active material, the carbon mix being obtained by mixing two carbon materials consisting of a first carbon material having conductivity and a second carbon material having a capacitance and/or a pseudocapacitance with at least a binder; subsequently subjecting the coated plate to a step in which lead ions are generated in an amount sufficient to let the lead ions move from the plate filled with a negative active material to the inside of the carbon-mix coating layer; and then conducting chemical conversion or first charge to connect and unite at least some of the interface between the carbon-mix coating layer and the negative plate by means of precipitated lead.
Processus destiné à produire une plaque négative pour batteries de stockage au plomb conçue pour éviter de subir une séparation interfaciale entre une plaque remplie d'un matériau actif négatif et une couche de revêtement de mélange de carbone formée sur la surface de la plaque, la séparation interfaciale posant un problème du fait que des plaques négatives ont une configuration dans laquelle il y a une plaque remplie de matériau actif et une couche de mélange de carbone, la plaque présentant des caractéristiques de déchargement rapide à basse température améliorées. Le processus comprend les étapes suivantes : formation d'une couche de revêtement d'un mélange de carbone sur au moins certaines surfaces d'une plaque remplie de matériau actif négatif, le mélange de carbone étant obtenu en mélangeant deux matières carbonées composées d'une première matière carbonée ayant une conductivité et d'une seconde matière carbonée ayant une capacité et/ou une pseudo-capacité avec au moins un liant; soumission ultérieure de la plaque recouverte à une étape durant laquelle les ions plomb sont générés en quantité suffisante pour laisser les ions plomb se déplacer de la plaque remplie d'un matériau actif négatif à l'intérieur de la couche de revêtement de mélange de carbone; puis conversion chimique conductrice ou première charge pour connecter et unir au moins une partie de l'interface entre la couche de revêtement de mélange de carbone et la plaque négative au moyen de plomb précipité.
