ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for producing a plate heater, which comprises preparing a mixture by dispersing electrically conductive fibers in a resin composition comprising a thermosetting resin, a curing agent and a thickener, laminating the resulting mixture to a first sheet-like material capable of being impregnated with said resin composition to thereby impregnate a part of the resin composition in said first sheet-like material, and thickening the resin composition to form a sheet-like preform, laminating a second sheet-like material capable of being impregnated with said resin composition to the mixture-laminated surface of the sheet-like preform, and heating the laminated assembly under pressure to cure the thermosetting resin composition.
