A method for producing a polymer electrolyte membrane is disclosed. A liquid medium is introduced into a cylinder having an inner surface having a cylindrical configuration. The liquid medium has at least one percent by weight of a polymer electrolyte and a solvent having a boiling point or an azeotropic point ranging from 60 to 220 ~C. Subsequently, the cylinder is rotated for evaporating the solvent by means of a centrifugal force created by such rotation so as to form a polymer electrolyte membrane having a cylindrical configuration with a substantially uniform thickness on the inner surface of the cylinder. Onto the inner surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane, a catalytic layer containing a catalytic particle may be formed.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de membrane électrolyte polymère. En l'occurrence, on introduit un milieu liquide dans un cylindre dont la surface intérieure est en configuration cylindrique. La masse du milieu liquide est constituée pour au moins 1% d'un électrolyte polymère et d'un solvant dont le point d'ébullition ou le point d'azéotropie est compris entre 60 ·C et 230 ·C. On met ensuite le cylindre en rotation de façon à évaporer le solvant par la force centrifuge de la rotation de façon à former sur la face intérieure du cylindre une membrane électrolyte polymère de configuration cylindrique et d'épaisseur sensiblement uniforme. Il est ensuite possible de réaliser, sur la face intérieure de la membrane électrolyte polymère, une couche catalytique contenant des particules catalytiques.
