The invention relates to a method for producing regenerated biopolymers in the form of carbohydrates, using a solvent system that contains the biopolymers dissolved therein. The solvent system is based on a melted ionic liquid and optionally a protic solvent or a mixture thereof. The biopolymers dissolved in the solvent system are precipitated in a coagulation medium, said medium comprising a protic coagulant or a mixture of protic coagulants. The method according to the invention is characterized in that the surface tension .sigma. of the coagulant or the mixture of coagulants is 99% to 30% of the surface tension .sigma. of water, the surface tension being measured according to ASTM D 1590-60 at a temperature of 50°C. The method according to the invention is economical and flexible and leads to advantageous products, especially in the form of staple fibers which are especially not fibrillated and have an advantageous wet to dry strength ratio.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de biopolymères régénérés sous la forme d'hydrates de carbone, en utilisant une solution contenant les biopolymères à l'état dissous, sachant : que la solution est à base d'un liquide ionique fondu et éventuellement d'un solvant protique ou d'un mélange de solvants protiques ; que les biopolymères dissous dans la solution sont précipités dans un milieu coagulant ; et qu'un coagulant protique ou un mélange de coagulants protiques se trouvent dans le milieu coagulant. Selon l'invention, la tension superficielle s du coagulant ou du mélange de coagulants se situe entre 99% et 30% de la tension superficielle s de l'eau, la tension superficielle respective ayant été mesurée conformément à la norme ASTM D 1590-60 à une température de 50°C. Ce procédé peut être exécuté économiquement et de manière souple. Il permet d'obtenir des produits avantageux, en particulier sous la forme de fibres filées. Celles-ci, notamment, ne sont pas sous forme de fibrilles, et elles présentent un rapport avantageux de la résistance à l'état humide relativement à la résistance à sec.
