The invention relates to a method for producing essentially rotationally symmetrical, undercut contours on workpieces (13) that can for example be produced by forging or casting, said workpieces having at least one sub- section (14) to be machined with an essentially symmetrical initial contour. The workpiece (13) is braced by the end that is not to be machined in a recess (11) and when in said recess (11) the sub-section (14) of the workpiece that is to be machined is placed against a tool (12). The tool (12) rotates with a constant or variable speed in relation to the sub-section (14) of the workpiece (13) that is to be machined. An undercut contour is thus produced on the sub-section (14) of the workpiece (13) by machining under an axial pressure.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour réaliser des profils sensiblement en contre-dépouille et à symétrie de révolution sur des pièces d'usinage (13) forgées ou coulées comportant au moins une zone partielle à transformer dotée d'un profil de départ sensiblement symétrique. Selon l'invention, l'extrémité de la pièce d'usinage (13) qui n'est pas à transformer est enserrée dans un logement (11), dans lequel la zone partielle à transformer (14) est placée contre un outil (12). L'outil (12) tourne alors à vitesse constante ou variable relativement à la zone partielle à transformer (14) de la pièce (13). Ainsi, sous l'action d'une pression axiale, un profil en contre-dépouille est réalisé par transformation sans enlèvement de copeaux sur la zone partielle à transformer (14) de la pièce (13).
