The invention relates to a method for producing substituted biphenyls (I) in which: R1 = nitro, amino or NHR3: R2 = CN, NO2, halogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, C2-C6alkynyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, C1-C6 alkyl halide, C1-C6 alkylcarbonyl or phenyl; R3 = C1-C4alkyl, C2-C4 alkenyl or C2-C4 alkynyl; m = 1 or 2, and; n = 0 to 3. The invention is characterized in that a compound (II) is reacted with a diphenyl borinic acid (III) in the presence of a base and of a palladium catalyst selected from the group consisting of: a) palladium- trialkylphosphine or trialkylphosphine complex with palladium being zero in the oxidation state; b) salt of the palladium in the presence of triarylphosphine or trialkylphosphine serving as a complex ligand or; c) optionally, metallic palladium raised on substrates, in the presence of triarylphospine or trialkylphosphine in a solvent.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de biphényls substitués représentés par la formule (I) dans laquelle R1 = nitro, amino ou NHR3 ; R2 = CN, NO2, halogène, C1C6-alkyl, C2-C6-alcényle, C2-C6-alkinyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, C1-C6-haloalkyl, C1-C6-alkylcarbonyl ou phényl ; R3 = C1-C4-aIkYl, C2-C4-alcényle ou C2-C4-alkinyl ; m = 1 ou 2 ; et, n = 0 à 3. Ledit procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à faire réagir un composé (II) en présence d'une base et d'un catalyseur au palladium choisi dans le groupe contenant a) un complexe de palladium-triaryl- ou trialkylphosphine avec du palladium à l'étape d'oxydation zéro, b) un sel de palladium en présence de triaryl- ou trialkylphosphine en tant que ligand de complexe, ou, c) du palladium métallique appliqué sur un support, en présence de triaryl- ou trialkylphosphine, dans un solvant, avec de l'acide diphényborique (III).
