METHOD FOR PRODUCING SURFACTANT-FREE WATER-BASED ENAMELS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The formation of surfactant-free water-based paints is described. The paint is made up of a mixture of (a) an amino resin cross-linking agent, (b) a mixture of three copolymers of acrylic monomers, one of which is a stabilizer polymer and (c) an amine. Elimination of conventional surfactants by the stabilizing polymer eliminates the prior problems of incompatibility and water sensitivity.
