ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A method for producing white electrically conductive zinc oxide comprising reacting an aqueous alkali solution with a solution which contains a water-soluble zinc compound and at least one water-soluble metal compound selected from the group consisting of tin, gallium, indium and aluminum compounds to form co-precipitates so that the amount of at least one member selected from the group consisting of tin oxide, gallium oxide, indium oxide and aluminum oxide determined after calcination of the co- presipitates ranges from 0.005 to 5.0 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of zinc oxide, while simultaneously feeding these two solutions to a reaction zone so that pH value of the reaction solution is maintained at a desired value falling within the range of from 6 to 12.5; and then calcining the resultant co-precipitates in a reducing atmosphere.
