The present invention provides a method for the manufacturing of nanocellulose. The method includes a first mod-ification of the cellulose material, where the cellulose fibres are treated with an aqueous electrolyte-containing solution of an am-photeric cellulose derivative. The modification is followed by a mechanical treatment. By using this method for manufacturing nanocellulose, clogging of the mechanical apparatus is avoided. Also disclosed is nanocellulose manufactured in accordance with said method and uses of said cellulose.

La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour la fabrication de nanocellulose. Le procédé comprend une première modification du matériau de cellulose, les fibres de cellulose étant traitées avec une solution aqueuse, contenant un électrolyte, d'un dérivé amphotère de la cellulose. La modification est suivie par un traitement mécanique. A l'aide de ce procédé pour fabriquer une nanocellulose, un bouchage de l'appareil mécanique est évité. L'invention porte également sur une nanocellulose fabriquée selon ledit procédé et sur des utilisations de ladite cellulose.
