Method for providing additional hydraulic drive to the wheels of a vehicle, through the automatic control of a closed hydraulic power circuit whereby in addition to the working fluid flow control, the working fluid pressure is regulated according to the ratio between the converter- or power transmission output speed and the converter input speed whereby the front axle moment is readjusted proportionately as a suitable share of the instantaneously calculated tractive power of the rear axle.
