A method for providing additional services by a UICC applied in a cellular phone is provided. First, an aperture would be formed on the UICC provided by a first service provider, and the UICC may include a first IC (24) and first contact pads (25) coupled to the first IC (24). This aperture could be formed by means of a puncher (31). After that, a laminated integrated circuit card would be attached to the UICC by a second service provider to form a dual UICC. Such laminated integrated circuit card may include a second IC (22) and second contact pads (41) coupled to the second IC, and the second IC is deposited in the aperture. Preferably, the size of the second IC (22) or the shell protecting the second IC fits perfectly for the aperture, and the great reliability could therefore be ensured. Finally, the additional service is able to be provided based on the dual UICC via wireless transmission or reception of the cellular phone.

L'invention porte sur un procédé d'offre de services additionnels basé sur une carte UICC double installée dans un téléphone cellulaire. A cet effet, on perce d'abord, par exemple au moins d'un poinçon (31), une ouverture dans une carte UICC fournie par un premier prestataire de services, pouvant comporter un premier circuit intégré (24) et de premiers plots de contact (25) reliés au premier circuit intégré (24). Puis, une carte laminée de circuit intégré fournie par un deuxième prestataire de services est fixée à la carte UICC de manière à constituer une carte UICC double. Ladite carte de circuit intégré laminée peut comporter un deuxième circuit intégré (22) et de deuxièmes plots de contact (41) reliés au deuxième circuit intégré placé dans l'ouverture. De préférence, la taille du deuxième circuit intégré (22) ou du boîtier le protégeant s'adapte parfaitement à l'ouverture d'où une grande fiabilité. On peut ainsi offrir un service supplémentaire grâce à la carte UICC double pour les émissions et réceptions du téléphone cellulaire.
