ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spinnerette assembly for spinning hollow fibers is disclosed. The assembly comprises a spinnerette plate containing a plurality of orifices with a counterbore for each orifice and removable pins positioned within each orifice-counterbore combination. Each pin is of solid construction and has an upper portion positioned within the counterbore and a lower portion positioned within the orifice. The upper portion occupies a fixed position within the counterbore and enables spinning composition to flow through the counterbore to the orifice at operative back pressure. The lower portion is spaced from the orifice wall to provide a hollow extrudate.
