A method for purifying gaseous effluents by means of photocatalytic reaction involving single-step ultraviolet radiation, whereby the gaseous effluent is subjected to the effects of leaching movements of at least one first support and undergoes cross-treatment in a second support, whereby the first and second support are a covered by at least one photocatalytic agent. The installation can be used to carry out said process.
