The invention provides methods for the detection and quantification of AKT proteins and their activation states in cells or tissue samples. Specifically, the invention provides methods for the detection and quantification of AKT1 or AKT2 proteins or their activated derivatives by combining immunohistochemical assays, calibrated by reference to other immunological, biochem-ical, or molecular biological assays, with an imaging system to quantify expression or activation levels of these proteins.

Cette invention a trait à des méthodes de détection et de quantification de protéines AKT et de leurs états d'activation dans des cellules ou des prélèvements tissulaires. Elle porte, notamment, sur des méthodes de détection et de quantification de protéines AKT1 ou AKT2 ou de leurs dérivés activés, au moyen d'une combinaison d'épreuves immuno-histochimiques, avec un étalonnage par référence à d'autres épreuves immunologiques, biochimiques ou de biologie moléculaire et ce, à l'aide d'un système d'imagerie afin de quantifier les niveaux d'expression et d'activation de ces protéines.
