A method for quantitatively determining LDL cholesterol, including the steps of adding to serum a surfactant selected from among polyoxyethylenealkylene phenyl ethers and polyoxyethylenealkylene tribenzylphenyl ethers and a cholesterol-assaying enzyme reagent so as to preferentially react cholestrols in high density- and very low density- cholesterols among lipoproteins, and subsequently determining the amount of cholesterol that reacts thereafter. This method can eliminate the necessity for pretreatments such as centrifugation and electrophoresis, enables the quantitative determination to be conducted in an efficient, simple manner, and can be applied to various automatic analyzers.

L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination quantitative des cholestérols des lipoprotéines de basse densité, consistant à ajouter un tensioactif, choisi parmi les polyoxyéthylènalkylènephényléthers et les polyoxyalkylènetribenzylphényléthers, et un réactif enzymatique, servant au dosage du cholestérol, au sérum pour faire réagir, de façon préférentielle, les cholestérols des lipoprotéines de haute densité et les cholestérols des lipoprotéines de très basse densité, parmi les lipoprotéines, et ensuite à déterminer les quantités des cholestérols ayant réagi. Ce procédé permet d'éliminer la nécessité de procéder à des prétraitements tels que la centrifugation et l'électrophorèse, de réaliser de façon simple et efficace la détermination quantitative, et il peut être appliqué à différents analyseurs automatiques.
