ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A present invention relates to a method for quantitatively determining sugar-alcohols characterized by passing test samples containing sugar-alcohols, proteins, and saccharides through a column filled with basic anion-exchange resins which have a protein-removing ability and a saccharide- removing ability, and then quantitaing the sugar-alcohols in the effluent out of the column, a column filled with said resins and an aqueous solution of boric acid, and a kit. Sugar-alcohols such as 1,5-anhydroglucitol and the like have been calling attention as markers for diabetes mellitus recently.
