A method of reading magnetic data from a magnetically-~activatable sheet product carrying magnetic data. The product comprises a pair of laminated outer sheets (131, 132) between which is a magnetic layer (130) comprising magnetically-activatable particles in a binder matrix. For reading the data, a thin-film magnetoresistive sensor is used in which the shape anisotropy of the sensor is enhanced in a direction transversely to the longitudinal axis of the sensor.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de lire des données magnétiques d'un produit en feuille magnétiquement activable comportant des données magnétiques. Ce produit comprend une paire de feuilles extérieures stratifiées (131, 132) entre lesquelles se trouve une couche magnétique (130) comprenant des particules magnétiquement activables dans une matrice de liaison. Pour lire les données, un capteur magnétorésistant à couche mince est utilisé dans lequel l'anisotropie de forme du capteur est améliorée dans une direction transversale à l'axe longitudinal du capteur.
