A method is provided for securing an optical fiber Bragg grating to a retaining element having a helical groove. In accordance with the method, an optical fiber Bragg grating is wrapped around the retaining element so that the optical fiber Bragg grating extends in and along the helical groove. Next, an excess length of the optical fiber Bragg grating is provided in the helical groove to substantially alleviate tension exerted upon the optical fiber Bragg grating. Finally, the first and second ends of the fiber Bragg grating are affixed to the retaining element.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fixer un réseau de Bragg à fibres optiques à un élément de retenue possédant une rainure hélicoïdale. Conformément à ce procédé, le réseau de Bragg à fibres optiques entoure ledit élément de retenue, de sorte que ledit réseau de Bragg à fibres optiques s'étend à l'intérieur et le long de la rainure hélicoïdale. Puis, l'excédent de longueur du réseau de Bragg à fibres optiques est placé dans la rainure hélicoïdale de façon à atténuer sensiblement la tension exercée sur ledit réseau de Bragg à fibres optiques. Enfin, les première et seconde extrémités du réseau de Bragg à fibres sont fixées à l'élément de retenue.
