The present invention relates to a method for repairing and reinforcing equipment details and components subjected to abrational wear. A casing is affixed about the area of the component or equipment detail subjected to abrational wear and a wear resistant concrete material is cast into the spacing between the casing and the surface of the equipment detail or the component. A wear resistant ceramic plate is preferably affixed to the surface of the equipment detail or the component before the casing is put in place and the concrete is cast.
