This invention relates to an improvement in the art of making high pressure laminated materials utilizing kraft paper. More particularly, the invention relates to an improved method of releasing from one another in a press pack a plurality of heat and pressure consolidated resin impregnated laminates, which method comprises utilizing, as a release sheet, a cellulosic-based paper substrate to which an aqueous solution of water-soluble multivalent salt (or salts) is applied during formation of the substrate, and wherein the substrate is subsequently coated after formation on at least one side salt-treated side with a film of a salt of alginic acid.

L'invention concerne une amélioration au niveau du procédé de fabrication de matériaux stratifiés à haute pression, faisant appel à du papier kraft. En particulier, l'invention concerne un procédé amélioré permettant de dégager l'un de l'autre, par chaleur et par pression, des stratifiés appartenant à un paquet de presse constitué d'une pluralité de matériaux stratifiés imprégnés de résine consolidée. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser, en tant que feuille de dégagement, un substrat de papier à base de cellulose sur lequel est appliquée une solution aqueuse de sel(s) multivalent(s) soluble(s) dans l'eau, lors de la formation du substrat, le substrat, après s'être formé au moins sur un côté latéral traité au sel, étant ensuite revêtu d'un film de sel d'acide alginique.
