Disclosed is a method of removing nano-sized pathogens, including viruses, from a liquid, the method comprising contacting the liquid with a filter comprising activated carbon particles wherein said filter has a Pathogen Removal Index of at least about 99.99 %. Also disclosed is an article of manufacture comprising: (a) a filter comprising activated carbon particles, wherein said filter has a Pathogen Removal Index of at least about 99.99 %; and (b) information which communicates to a user that the filter may be used to remove nano-sized pathogens from a liquid.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'élimination d'agents pathogènes de nano-taille, y compris des virus, d'un liquide, le procédé consistant à mettre en contact le liquide avec un filtre comportant des particules de carbone activées, ce filtre possédant un indice d'élimination d'agents pathogènes d'au moins 99, 99 % environ.
