IMPROVED METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF SULFUR DIOXIDE FROM GASES Abstract of the Disclosure The invention is an improved method for regenerating absorbents which have absorbed sulfur dioxide from gas streams. The method comprises intimately intermixing hydrogen sulfide with the sulfur dioxide rich absorbent and conveying the mixture under turbulent flow conditions for a sufficient length of time to react a substantial portion of the sulfur dioxide to sub- stantially regenerate the absorbent.
