A method for removing heavy metals from solutions of organic compounds by precipitation as sulfides is described. From the so treated solutions it is possible to isolate organic compounds with a content of heavy metals, for example palladium, particularly low that are usable, in particular, for the preparation of compounds endowed with pharmacological activity.
