PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Méthode d'enlèvement de produits pétroliers de surfaces solides ou liquides, caractérisée en ce que l'on recouvre ledit produit pétrolier d'un polymère solide finement divisé, ce polymère étant choisi dans le groupe du poly(bicyclo [2.2.1] heptène 2) et du poly(méthyl-5 bicyclo [2.2.1] heptène-2) obtenus principalement par ouverture du cycle du bicyclo [2.2.1] heptène-2 et de son dérivé méthylé, grâce à quoi on obtient une pellicule solide caoutchouteuse résistante et, on enlève ladite pellicule par un moyen mécanique.
