The invention concerns a composite structure consisting of two outer skins (2, 3) and an inner core (1) therebetween, wherein a portion (6) of one of the outer skins (2) must be replaced, with pressure of a backing block (8) and suction. The repair is carried out by drilling a venting hole (14) in the opposite outer skin (3) to evacuate the air in the cells of the core (1), thereby enhancing the bonding of the new portion (6) on the core (1).
