The invention relates to a method for reprocessing waste oils and producing high-grade base oils, whereby waste oil is treated by means of distillation, thin-film evaporation in a high vacuum, optional fractionation for separation into layers of different viscosities and subsequent extraction with N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and/or N- formylmorpholine. The invention also relates to base oils that can be obtained by said method and to the use thereof. The inventive method is characterized in that approximately any waste oil can be used, including waste oils with polychlorinated biphenylene (PCB) or PCB substitutes with contents of up to 250 mg/kg. Furthermore, waste oils containing up to 5 % vegetable oil can be present in the waste oil that is to be reprocessed without impairing the quality of the base oil. The undesirable constituents, especially polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and polychlorinated biphenylenes (PCB) or the substitutes thereof are removed in an almost quantitative manner.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour retraiter des huiles usées et pour produire des huiles de base de qualité supérieure. Ce procédé consiste à traiter une huile usée par distillation, vaporisation en couche mince sous vide élevé, éventuellement fractionnement pour une séparation en couches de différentes viscosités puis extraction avec de la N-méthyl-2-pyrrolidone et/ou de la N-formylmorpholine. L'invention concerne également des huiles de base obtenues selon ce procédé et leur utilisation. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que pratiquement n'importe quelle huile usée peut être utilisée, par exemple même les huiles chargées en polychlorobiphényles (PCB) ou en produits de substitution de PCB dont les teneurs peuvent atteindre jusqu'à 250 mg/kg. De plus, même les huiles usées qui possèdent des teneurs en huiles végétales d'environ 5 % au maximum, peuvent être présentes dans l'huile usée à retraiter sans entraîner une altération de la qualité de l'huile de base obtenue après retraitement. Les constituants indésirables, notamment les hydrocarbures aromatiques polycycliques et les PCB ou leurs produits de substitution, sont éliminés pratiquement quantitativement.
