A method for rerouting a connection set up along a path calculated between a first node (A.1.2) and a second node (C.2), of a switching network structured into a plurality of peer groups at at least two hierarchical levels, implies that within a peer group along said path, of not the highest hierarchical level, a local alternative path within this peer group is established between anentering border node and an outgoing border node of said peer group, based on path information stored within this entering border node during set up of theconnection, and including an identifier of said outgoing border node of said peer group. In a variant method this path information is stored within each entering border node of each peer group, thereby allowing the local alternative path to be established in the lowest level peer group possible.
Méthode permettant de rerouter une connexion établie sur un trajet calculé entre un premier noeud (A.1.2) et un deuxième noeud (C.2) d'un réseau de commutation structuré en un certain nombre de groupes d'homologues à au moins deux niveaux hiérarchiques. La méthode implique qu'à l'intérieur d'un groupe d'homologues se trouvant sur ledit trajet et dont le niveau hiérarchique n'est pas le plus élevé, un trajet de rechange local est établi entre un noeud périphérique d'entrée et un noeud périphérique de sortie dudit groupe d'homologues, sur la base d'information de trajet stockée dans ce noeud périphérique d'entrée pendant l'établissement de la connexion, et comprenant un identificateur dudit noeud périphérique de sortie dudit groupe d'homologues. Suivant une variante de la méthode, cette information de trajet est stockée à l'intérieur de chaque noeud périphérique d'entrée de chaque groupe d'homologues, ce qui permet d'établir le trajet de rechange local à l'intérieur du groupe d'homologues du plus bas niveau possible.
