ABSTRACT A method for sanitizing toilets wherein a hypochlorite sanitizing agent and an oxidizabie dye are dispensed from separate dispensing means into the toilet flush water to provide a color to the bowl water. The color disappears within a short time after the flush, thereby providing a visual indicator of the activity of the sanitizing agent.
