A screening tool for obtaining a remedy for renal failure, a convenient screening method, a medicinal composition for treating renal failure and a process for producing the same. The screening tool as described above comprises a G protein-coupled receptor FGK which is a polypeptide capable of activating CTGF promoter, a functionally equivalent modification thereof, a polypeptide homologous with it or cells expressing the above polypeptide. In the above screening method, the inhibition of the above-described polypeptide is employed as an indication.
Cette invention porte sur un instrument de criblage permettant d'obtenir un médicament contre l'insuffisance rénale, sur une méthode de criblage appropriée, sur une composition thérapeutique permettant de traiter l'insuffisance rénale ainsi que sur un procédé de production de cette composition. L'instrument de criblage de cette invention comprend un récepteur FGK couplé à la protéine G qui est un polypeptide capable d'activer un promoteur CTGF, une modification fonctionnellement équivalente de celui-ci, un polypeptide homologue de celui-ci ou des cellules exprimant ledit polypeptide. Dans la méthode de criblage susmentionnée, l'inhibition du polypeptide sert d'indication.
